Free poetry evening

Posted on 02/10/2014 by Helga Pearson in georgian theatre royal oz hardwick poetry free events

York-based poet Oz Hardwick will be hosting a free poetry evening on Monday 6 October at 7.30pm in the theatre's first floor bar.

This event is part of the monthly 'Poetry and Pints' evenings where people have the opportunity to listen to an invited published poet and enjoy a relaxing drink and chat. There's always the chance to participate, so please feel free to bring your own poems if you wish.

Oz Hardwick is a York-based writer, photographer and musician who has been published extensively worldwide and has read everywhere from the Glastonbury Festival to New York, via countless back rooms of pubs. His fifth poetry collection, The Ringmaster's Apprentice, was published earlier this year. By day he is Professor of English at Leeds Trinity University.

No need to book. Just turn up on the night.
