Let yourself be transported back to a period of time when the Theatre was lit by candle chandeliers and there were no cushions for comfort on the wooden benches.  Join our authentically-dressed guides to sample the delights of the Georgian Theatre Royal in its earliest days.

Visit the machine room to see the stage traps and winches and see how scenery was changed with shutters and grooves.  Children can also enjoy the thunder machine and try on costumes.

Enter at the tiny original 1788 pay box at the bottom of Fryars Wynd and see for yourself the delights that the oldest working theatre in its original form has to offer, you wont be disappointed!

Suggested donation:  £3.50 for adults and £1 for children.
