Adapted from the widely acclaimed film, Brassed Off is a touching and ruthless account of the closure of yet another Yorkshire coal mine. The news provokes a passionate and often humorous response from the miners and their families. What are the consequences for a community when the sole purpose of its existence is removed, and what happens to the brass band at its heart? The powerful story line, which explores important social issues, is made all the more emotionally intense by the passionate music of the Brass Band. RADS and Leyburn Band join forces to make this production unmissable! This play contains occasional strong language! Presented by Richmond Amateur Dramatic Society in arrangement with Samuel French Ltd |
