Call out for young performers to star in Cinderella

Audition date announced for Young Company in this year's pantomime.

The hunt is on for 15 strong performers aged 9 to 18 to join the Young Company of our 2025 pantomime, Cinderella.

Auditions will take place at the Theatre on Sunday 13 July from 10.30am to 12.30pm (registration from 10am), and advanced registration is essential.

Members of the Young Company will work alongside a professional cast and creative team to bring to life the Theatre’s much-loved pantomime – a highlight of Richmond’s festive season. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young people to develop their acting, singing and dancing skills while being part of a magical production that entertains thousands of audience members each year.

This year’s pantomime promises to be a spellbinding retelling of the classic fairytale, bursting with toe-tapping tunes, dazzling costumes, and the trademark comedy that makes The Georgian Theatre Royal pantomime a firm family favourite.

Performance experience is not required – just plenty of enthusiasm and commitment. Being part of the Young Company is a big undertaking, but it’s also an unforgettable experience, full of fun, friendship and panto magic.

To apply, please complete an application form and return it to the Box Office by Wednesday 9 July at 4pm, or email it to admin@georgiantheatreroyal.co.uk. Full details of the audition process will be sent once your application has been received.

If successful, Young Company members must be available for rehearsals every Monday from 5pm to 7pm, starting 8 September (excluding half term), with additional rehearsal dates in November. Performances run from 2 December 2025 to 10 January 2026, and the Young Company will be divided into three teams, each performing every third day of the run.
