A second Junior Musical Theatre Class starts this term to meet growing demand.
Due to popular demand, we are delighted to announce the launch of a brand-new Junior Musical Theatre class for 6–11 year-olds, starting this term. Sessions will take place every Tuesday from 4pm to 6pm, with the first class on Tuesday 9 September.
The new class reflects the growing interest in musical theatre among young performers and is already proving popular, with places filling fast. Parents and carers are encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible to secure a space.
This exciting addition complements the Theatre’s other Junior Musical Theatre class that runs on Wednesday. Other age groups are also catered for, with established Musical Theatre classes for Middles (11-14 years) on Monday and Seniors (14-18 years) on Wednesday.
“Our Musical Theatre classes are incredibly popular and provide exciting opportunities for young people of all ages to explore singing, dancing and performing,” said Youth Theatre Manager Aimee Shields. “We noticed a growing demand from the 6–11 age group, so we’re delighted to introduce a second Junior class to meet that need.”
The Georgian Theatre Royal Youth Theatre provides a wide range of classes in drama and performance, giving young people the chance to explore their creativity, develop stage skills, build lasting friendships and take part in exciting productions at one of the country’s most historic theatres.
