Step back in time and discover why our Theatre is Richmond’s No.1 attraction. With a 4.9-star rating on Tripadvisor and a 2025 Travellers’ Choice Award, our award-winning tours start again on Monday 16 February until the end of October.
We’re thrilled to welcome visitors back to the Georgian Theatre Experience – an opportunity to visit the UK’s oldest working theatre in its original form. This year, we’ve held our tour prices at £8 per adult and £3 per child, and tickets are valid for 12 months so you can return again and again.
During your visit, you can explore our intimate auditorium, hidden trap doors, backstage dressing rooms and our exhibition area, which features original playbills, costumes, props, and the beautifully restored Woodland Scene – Britain’s oldest surviving stage scenery. Our friendly volunteer guides share entertaining stories from the Theatre’s colourful history, making every tour a unique experience.

Tours start at 10am, with the last tour at 3pm. No booking is required – just turn up at the Box Office on Victoria Road. Larger groups are advised to call ahead.
