Rob Rouse award-winning comedian comes to The Georgian Theatre Royal

Award-winning comedian Rob Rouse is heading to The Georgian Theatre Royal this spring, fresh from picking up two major comedy awards.

Rob Rouse, who brings his brand-new tour show Funny Bones to The Georgian Theatre Royal on Friday 27 March, has just been named Comics’ Comic – Best Act of the Year 2025 by The UK Comedy Awards. He has also been crowned Best Act at the 2025 Yorkshire Comedy Awards, cementing his reputation as one of the most respected and popular performers on the UK comedy circuit.

The prestigious Comics’ Comic award is voted for by fellow comedians and recognises Rob’s standing as a true comic’s comic after more than 25 years at the top of his game.

Rob is a familiar face from television and radio, with appearances including Upstart Crow, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Friday Night Project and Dave’s One Night Stand, among many others. He first rose to prominence after winning Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny? Award at the Edinburgh Festival in 1998 and has since built a career defined by joyous silliness, infectious energy and masterful storytelling. As The Sunday Times put it, Rob is “a man with genuinely funny bones”.

His latest live show, Funny Bones, promises a relentlessly funny, high-spirited evening packed with brilliantly spun tall tales, pitch-perfect characters and hilariously daft flights of fancy — absolutely stuffed to the gunnels with jokes. It’s a pure celebration of comedy and being alive, with Rob hell-bent on making audiences belly laugh from start to finish.

Rob Rouse appears at the Theatre, on Friday 27 March at 8pm. Tickets are still available but selling fast.

For booking information, visit the Theatre’s website or contact the Box Office on 01748 825252.
