Celebrate Jane Austen’s 250th anniversary with DOT Productions’ witty and fast-paced take on Sense and Sensibility.
2025 marks the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth, and The Georgian Theatre Royal will be celebrating in style with a sparkling new production of Sense and Sensibility by DOT Productions.
Audiences will be transported into Austen’s world of romance, wit and sharp social observation as the Dashwood sisters navigate love and heartbreak. Elinor embodies ‘sense’, while Marianne brims with ‘sensibility’ — but when dashing heroes and debonair villains enter the scene, events quickly take a dramatic turn.
With heroes, heartbreak and even a dashing duel, this fast-paced and witty comedy of manners shows exactly why Austen remains one of Britain’s most beloved authors.
A cast of five talented actors brings the story to life, with DOT Productions’ renowned comedic style adding extra flair to the timeless classic.
The performance promises to be both a celebration of Austen’s enduring legacy and a wonderful night of theatre.
Sense and Sensibility comes to The Georgian Theatre Royal on Saturday 6 September with performances at 2pm and 7.30pm. Tickets are available from the Box Office or online.
