Virtuoso folk duo Tom McConville and Michael Biggins live on stage

Two of the folk world’s most celebrated performers are set to bring an evening of exceptional traditional music to Richmond this spring.

Acclaimed musicians Tom McConville and Michael Biggins will appear at The Georgian Theatre Royal on Friday 17 April at 7.30pm, promising audiences a dazzling night of fiddle, piano and song.

Both artists are former BBC Musicians of the Year – Tom in England and Michael in Scotland – and are widely recognised as among the finest performers on today’s traditional folk scene. Individually they have earned reputations for outstanding musicianship, but together they create something truly special.

Their performances showcase the remarkable blend of Tom’s expressive fiddle playing and Michael’s masterful piano accompaniment, combined with song and storytelling. The result is a captivating musical partnership that balances virtuosity with warmth, humour and genuine passion for the tradition.

Audiences can expect a programme filled with lively tunes and beautiful melodies, all delivered with the easy rapport and chemistry that has made their concerts so popular across the country.

For folk music lovers – and anyone who appreciates world-class live music – this promises to be an unforgettable evening in one of the country’s most atmospheric historic theatres.
