“How far that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a naughty world.” William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice
The Georgian Theatre (Richmond) Trust is a registered charity (247005) responsible for preserving the historic Georgian Theatre Royal as a living theatre museum for the benefit of the nation. As a charity we are reliant on the generosity of others to preserve the unique eighteenth-century building, celebrate its history and educate, entertain and inspire through our youth theatre and artistic programme.
There are donation boxes available at the Theatre for cash donations, but cheques are also gratefully received. If you would like your donation to go towards a specific area - such as the preservation of the building or to our Youth Theatre, for example - please enclose a note with such direction with your cheque. Cheques should be made payable to 'The Georgian Theatre Royal' and either left at the box office or posted to:
The Georgian Theatre Royal, Victoria Road, Richmond, North Yorkshire, DL10 4DW
We are also currently taking donations in memory of Bob Woodings, Bob was a long term and and exteremely knowledgable volunteer and guide, who had a passion for the theatre and gave his time and expertise so generously - any donations can be sent as outlined above. We ask that if cheques are sent in memory of Bob, please add a note stating that.
